Oh, in Japan, most temples are with shrines. This might show the coexistence of multiple religions traditionally. Fundamentally, Japan has been in polytheism, then can accept other religions relatively easily. Actually in 6th century, Shintoism,the Japanese traditional polytheism could accept Buddism.
